2016 World Cup: Panarin, Anisimov On Team Russia

On Friday morning, Russia released their roster for the upcoming World Cup of Hockey. Two Blackhawks – Artemi Panarin and Artem Anisimov – made the list.

Panarin, who turns 25 at the end of October, is the front-runner for the Calder Trophy after posting 30 goals with 47 assists in 80 games during his first regular season in the NHL.

Anisimov, acquired in the trade that sent Brandon Saad to Columbus last summer, scored 20 goals with 22 assists in 77 games with the Hawks this season.

Both players represented Russia at the recent World Championships.
