The Chicago Blackhawks have signed restricted free agent goalie Alexander Salak to a two-year, one-way contract with a $612,500 annual cap number.
This news comes one day after the Blackhawks announced a three-year extension with starter Corey Crawford; the Hawks now have $3.27M in cap space committed to two young goalies for the coming season.
Salak, 24, played for Färjestad BK of the Swedish Elite League for the 2010-11 season on load from the Florida Panthers. Chicago acquired his rights with Michael Frolik in the trade sending Jack Skille to Florida.
