Another Injury Hits Vancouver: Luongo Fractures Rib

Roberto LuongoTSN is reporting that Vancouver Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo has a fractured rib, and will miss at least a week.

Luongo joins Daniel Sedin, Pavol Demitra and Sami Salo among the injured stars in Vancouver, who has struggled coming out of the gates this year (6-6-0, 12 pts, 4th place in the Northwest Division).

Demitra just had a second procedure on his bad shoulder last week, and will miss another eight weeks. Sedin and Salo should be back in December.

Luongo is allowing 2.79 goals per game this year, and recorded his first shutout of the season earlier this week against Edmonton. Vancouver lost 5-4 at Detroit Tuesday night.
