Artem Anisimov Out Friday

The Chicago Blackhawks will put their seven-game winning streak on the line against the Washington Capitals on Friday night without Artem Anisimov in the lineup.

Coach Joel Quenneville confirmed after Friday’s morning skate that Anisimov will miss Friday night’s game at the United Center, but remains hopeful to have him back on the second line on Sunday against Montreal.

Anisimov’s 17 points to date are tied for second in the NHL with Steven Stamkos, Connor McDavid and Patrick Kane.

Here are the lines from Friday’s skate:

Schmaltz-Toews-Kane
Panarin-Kruger-Hossa
Desjardins-Rasmussen-Panik
Hartman-Hinostroza-Tootoo

  2. on a sad note HURRICANES’ BRYAN BICKELL DIAGNOSED WITH MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS. Stick tap to the former Hawk and all around nice guy!

  3. That is truly awful about Bickell. Clearly he wasn’t the same hockey player the past few seasons, and I guess this goes a very long way to explaining why. Fortunately there have been improvements in treating MS. I watched the devastating impact of MS ravage the body of my aunt over 20 years before it took her life. Horrible disease, but there are varying levels of having MS.

Prayers and hope are with Bryan. Class act and class human being.
