Artem Anisimov Has Wrist Surgery

On Tuesday, Artem Anisimov had surgery on his right wrist.

According to the Blackhawks, Anisimov should return to “full hockey activities” in approximately six to eight weeks. He is not competing with Artemi Panarin on behalf of Russia at the World Championship because of the injury.

Anisimov, 27, scored 20 goals and added 22 assists in his first season in Chicago. He signed a five-year extension with the Blackhawks after he was acquired in the trade sending Brandon Saad to Columbus.

  1. Maybe that was the reason he was not soo good on Faceoff….we will see next season if it was .
But still i like him ,good player with a big presence in front of the net ..always focus on his game …good center for The Hawks

  2. I woulda prefer they kept Roenick over Zhamnov, urgh I mean Saad over Anisimov.

  3. Saad is probably having a great summer hanging out with Toews and Kane.

@Dave, well considering the Hawks are paying Anisimov nearly 4.5 million a yr it wouldnt have been that hard. Its not worth rehashing. Chelios shouldnt have been trade to Detroit and Belfour shouldnt have been traded to the Sharks, 2 or 20 yrs laterly shitty trades are still shitty trades. Anisimov will always been my Zhamnov until the Hawks win another cup!

  4. But that $4.5 million starts next season. His cap hit was under $3.3 million for the season. I think if it could have worked, Stan would have done it.

  5. …..talking about shitty trades…….miss you Sharpie…….he demolished the Blues last night with a power play goal and an assist on winning goal for Stars… that trade was a no brainer….
