Blackhawks Acquire Brendan Morrison

He has won 50.4 percent of his faceoffs (150/298), and has been credited with five hits, 15 blocked shots and 20 takeaways while averaging 13:44 on the ice this season. He comes with a $1.25M cap hit on a one-year deal that expires at the end of this season.

Not entirely what I thought we were looking for. The faceoff percentage is okay, and the takeaways are nice. But we still need a D man. I was really hoping for a package Getzlaf and Beauchemin.

  2. Dave Bonnema says:

Beauchemin isn’t going anywhere, E. He re-upped with Anaskeim.

  3. Barry Brown says:

with defensive upgrade being our main goal, this move can’t hurt. However would like to see a defenseman added who can log some minutes, and when is Stan going to part ways with Bickell??
