Blackhawks Activate Marcus Kruger

Before Tuesday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Blackhawks activated center Marcus Kruger off IR.

Kruger, 26, had two goals and eight assists in 39 games before being placed on injured reserve on Jan. 1. He has won 51 percent of his faceoffs to date, and still ranks third on the team in faceoffs taken (461) in spite of missing ten games.

  1. Whens the waiver announcement for Tootoo and Desjardins made? Speaking of which, former 1st rounder Stefan Noesen is on waivers.

  2. I can deal with Kruger being in there he provides a purpose. But the other don’t do anything.
Desjardins doesn’t contribute on pk. Tootoo is who he is. Salary cap wise if their worried waive both and call up Latta and McNeil and have them play 7 minutes a game while making $350k less.

  3. Imagine kruger be taking alot of big defensive zone faceoffs and just can’t see 8 and 11/22 being with him all the time.
