Blackhawks Assign Forsling, Abbott To Rockford

On Friday morning the Blackhawks assigned defenseman Gustav Forsling and forward Spencer Abbott to Rockford.

Forsling, 20, has one goal and three assists in 32 games with Chicago this season. He played 10:17 against Buffalo on Thursday night.

Abbott appeared in his second career NHL game on Thursday.

  1. Wall was right…..Abbott sent down after one game. Surprised me a little, especially after a win. Forsling can now go to the Rock and will benefit with more ice time. The potential is there….He can work on things he knows needs improvement.

Question is, who, if anyone, gets called up????

BTW: What do bloggers think about bringing Inginla to the Hawks??????????????

  2. There it is. Thanks MJF92! I knew there was a date at which his assignment clause no longer applied just couldn’t remember what it was. Look at my previous post before this article was up for reference. Been running the cnc machine all day, little bit of down time waiting for the cycles to finish. Getting a little hungry though, if you make it upstairs can you have your mom fix me a sandwich?

  3. Wall/Ernie, you have a good sense of humor to Flatlander comments. We laugh at things like that.

  4. Minus 2 tonight for “little Gustav” against men in the Ahl. He was on the ice for even more if you include special teams. Time for him to get a cot at Dahlstrom and Norell’s apartment and marinate in the pros.

Stan was generous to keep him around for 41 games.

  5. Kempny has out played him of late. Forsling started gangbuster but cooled of late. Honestly they don’t need him now, he will be back eventually. 82 is a long season.
