Blackhawks Hammer Red Wings, Continue Controlling Destiny

It took less than a minute for the Blackhawks to take the lead on Friday night, and they never gave it back. When the dust settled, Ben Smith had his first NHL goal, Corey Crawford had his first NHL point, and the Blackhawks had a 4-2 victory.

The only concern heading into Sunday’s finale is the health of Tomas Kopecky, who took a Viktor Stalberg shot off the side of the head in the third period. Smith has looked outstanding in two games, spending most of Friday night on a line with Michael Frolik and Patrick Kane.
