Blackhawks Lose In Vancouver

The refs were terrible; great video work by WGN showed a handful of clearly blown calls.

The Blackhawks power play was awful; they went 0-5 on the night, including a crucial late 5-on-3 that ended with nothing.

Roberto Luongo was exceptional; he kept 42 of 45 Hawks shots out of the net, including saving 18 of 19 in the third period.

Marty Turco played hard, but wasn’t good enough; he allowed four goals on 32 shots, and two after the Hawks gave him a third period lead.

After the loss, the Blackhawks sit at 10th in the Western Conference with 58 points in 52 games. They are one point out of seventh, and two points out of fifth in the conference.

That’s it for this game. No color. No spice. It was a rough game to watch across the board, and deserves little more than crediting the Canucks for winning a regular season home game on Feb. 4.
