Blackhawks Lose Stéphane Waite To Montreal

On Thursday morning, the Montreal Canadiens named Stéphane Waite their new goaltending coach. Waite had spent the last 10 seasons with the Blackhawks organization, and Corey Crawford gave him a great deal of credit for his strong season.

    I think this loss actually comes at a bit of a bad time in Chicago. Crawford always gave credit to Waite talking about how much he worked with him and Raanta probably would have received similar instruction.

    His replacement seems like a critical hire…

    Don’t know but suspect Waite is just headed home to finish his long career. But, agreed, a critical hire especially for Raanta.
