Blackhawks Prospect David Pacan Finds A New Home

It has been a busy week for David Pacan, the Blackhawks sixth round pick (177th overall) in the 2009 Draft.

It was reported on Tuesday that Pacan, 19, was kicked off the University of Vermont hockey team for violating the school’s student-athlete code of conduct. No additional details were released about the specifics of the 6’3, 205 pound center’s actions.

In 39 games as a freshman, Pacan led Vermont rookies with seven goals, adding seven assists and 22 penalty minutes.

However, Pacan quickly signed with the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL on Wednesday. The IceDogs originally selected Pacan int he 14th round of the 2007 OHL Draft.
