Chicago Blackhawks Select Chad Krys

With the 45th overall selection in the 2016 NHL Draft, the Blackhawks selected defenseman Chad Krys.

Krys is headed to Boston University. He is listed at 5-11 and 185 pounds and had 13 points in 18 games with the US development team last season. He won a gold medal with the US team a the U18 World Junior Championships during the 2014-15 season.

  1. So 5’11”?? so that female reporter is 6’0??? c’mon!!!

    Heard he has some wheels!!! Elite 1st few strides… but shaky on D (sounds like Leddy)

    Another positive… Boston U- will be loaded with stud players this year…
    this will surely pad this kid’s numbers — so if Hawks change direction on him in future…
    He will be very tradeable…
