With their first pick in the third round, the Blackhawks selected defenseman Michael Paliotta from the USHL. Listed at 6’3 and 200 pounds, the 18-year-old posted 13 points and 71 penalty minutes in 52 games. He will reportedly attend the University of Vermont next year.
