Blackhawks Sign Viktor Svedberg To 2-Year Extension

On Monday, the Blackhawks announced a two-year contract extension with defenseman Viktor Svedberg, who was set to become a restricted free agent this summer. The new contract runs through the end of the 2017-18 season.

Svedberg, 24, has played 19 games with the Blackhawks, scoring two goals with two assists. He has also been credited with 11 hits and 24 blocked shots this season.
