Blackhawks Name Marc Bergevin New Assistant GM

The Chicago Blackhawks have named Marc Bergevin the organization’s new Assistant General Manager, replacing Kevin Cheveldayoff.

As Director of Player Personnel, Bergevin was in charge of both the pro and amateur scouting departments while monitoring the progress of the organization’s prospects. He  reported directly to GM Stan Bowman. Prior to his current role, Bergevin was an assistant coach for Joel Quenneville in 2008-09, and served three seasons with the Blackhawks’ scouting staff. Bergevin served as director of pro scouting during the 2007-08 season.

The organization also announced two promotions: Norm Maciver is now to Director of Player Personnel and Kyle Davidson will serve as Hockey Administration Coordinator.
