Blackhawks Training Camp Updates: Keith Sits, World Cup Players Return

On Monday, the Blackhawks offered a few insights into the coming preseason schedule for some of their core players.

Duncan Keith will miss at least four preseason games as he continues rehabbing his knee. He withdrew from the World Cup of Hockey to stay on course for the 2016-17 season.

Defenseman Ville Pokka skated with the team on Monday and will reportedly play in Wednesday’s exhibition opener.

Two World Cup participants who were eliminated before the semifinals, Patrick Kane and Michal Kempny, are expected to join the team on Tuesday.

Niklas Hjalmarsson, Marcus Kruger, Artemi Panarin and Artem Anisimov – all of whom lost in the semifinals of the World Cup – are expected to join the team on Friday.
