Blackhawks Well Represented in College Poll

The first USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men’s College Hockey Poll was released last week, and the Chicago Blackhawks have prospects all over the top of the rankings.

At the top, Boston College will feature Jimmy and Kevin Hayes, two future power forwards the Blackhawks acquired during the draft this year. Kevin, the younger of the two, was selected in the first round with a pick received via trade with Atlanta. Jimmy was acquired the next day in exchange for a second round pick.

Another of the Blackhawks top prospects, defenseman Dylan Olsen, plays at U. of Minnesota-Duluth, ranked ninth. Justin Holl, another 2010 draft pick, is playing on the blue line for 15th-ranked U. of Minnesota. Notre Dame just missed the top 15, and will feature yet another defense prospect headed for Chicago, Stephen Johns.
