Jimmy Hayes

The Chicago Blackhawks acquired Jimmy Hayes, the seventh-ranked prospect in the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, in exchange for the 43rd overall selection in the 2010 Draft. Jimmy, 21, is listed at 6’5 and 210 pounds and was the Leafs second round  pick in the 2008 draft. He had 35 points (13 G, 22 A) in 42 games at Boston College last year.

He is the older brother of the Blackhawks’ first round draft choice in 2010, Kevin Hayes.

Jimmy has a big body, works hard and plays very well in a team concept. He is known for his hands and work around the net, and is a big, strong, forward who is learning to use his power. He is also noted as fast skater with very big and long strides.
