Chicago Blackhawks Defenseman Chris Campoli Has Surgery

In a fairly surprising piece of news, the Blackhawks released the following news today:

Chris Campoli underwent successful right knee surgery on Tuesday afternoon to repair a torn meniscus. The procedure went very well and he will gradually return to normal off-season workouts. I anticipate a full recovery in approximately two months.

Campoli, a restricted free agent, has been mentioned by GM Stan Bowman as a player the Hawks would like to bring back next season.
