Here’s audio from Hawks’ GM Stan Bowman’s interview on the Danny Mac show on Friday, April 29 on The Score in Chicago. He addresses a number of isses Hawks fans have been asking about, including Kyle Beach’s future, where was Ben Smith all year, and why is Marian Hossa playing for his country. Worth a listen. Great interview!

So Bowman’s answer to our lack of physicality is that the coaches aren’t playing John Scott enough. Kill me now.
Agreed Ozzie- Scott didn’t see much ice time because, uh , he can’t skate.
If John Scott skates for this team next year we are in trouble. I don’t think a guy needs to be 7 foot to be an imposing player. Besides, I think Scott is a cop-out replacement for team toughness; one player isn’t good enough. Even if you replaced John Scott with Cal Clutterbuck (yes, please) it wouldn’t be enough because one man can’t play 60 minutes. If physicality is an issue that needs to be addressed it needs to be done some up and down the lineup.
