Corey Crawford Named NHL #2 Star of the Week

Chicago Blackhawks netminder Corey Crawford was named the NHL’s #2 Star of the Week on Monday. So far in the young season, Crawford is 5-0-0 with 1.78 goals against average and .933 save percentage.

The league named San Jose’s Patrick Marleau the #1 star, while Tampa’s Martin St. Louis was named the #3 star.

    Heartiest congratulations to Corey. Nice recognition for a terrific start to the season. Not only are those great stats but those of us who have watched every game also recognize that big saves were made at key moments in most of those games. Often that is a better indicator of the value of a goalie to his team. Keep it going!
