Blackhawks fans hoping to see two of the best defensemen in the game may not get their wish next week.
LA Kings superstar Drew Doughty did not travel with the team to Phoenix after taking a hard, high hit from Hurricanes’ forward Erik Cole on Wednesday night. Kings GM Dean Lombardi has already indicated to L.A. Kings Insider that the Norris Trophy Finalist would be out “at least a week” with what is being called an “upper-body injury.”
Sources have informed CommittedIndians that Doughty is suffering from a concussion and the team is taking every precaution to keep one of the best players in the league healthy.
If Doughty misses the entire five-game road trip for the Kings, one of the games he would miss would be next Wednesday in Chicago.
