Prospect Profile: Kevin Hayes

Kevin Hayes, Forward

DOB: 05/08/1992   Ht: 6’3   Wt: 201

Drafted: 1st round (24th overall) in 2010 – Nobles High School

The Blackhawks first round pick in 2010, Kevin’s freshman season at Boston College was cut short when he tore his posterior cruciate ligament and missed five weeks. He still managed to score four goals with 10 assists in 31 games.

The younger Hayes returned to BC  and doubled his offensive production (seven goals, 21 assists) while skating on a line with NY Rangers prospect Chris Kreider. He’s been spending a lot of time at center, which makes him a more intriguing prospect considering his size.

He’ll be back at Boston College for a junior season this year.

Teuvo will play forward next year. Kevin Hayes IS the future #2 center. He’s the perfect match for Patrick Kane
