On Thursday, the AHL named Rockford IceHogs forward Ryan Hartman and goaltender Michael Leighton as members of the Western Conference AHL All-Star Team at the 2016 AHL All-Star Classic.
Hartman, 21, is the IceHogs leader with 10 goals The West Dundee, Ill. native was the Blackhawks’ first round pick (30th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft. He has appeared in eight career NHL games with one assist with the Blackhawks. Hartman made his NHL debut on Feb. 13, 2015.
Leighton, 34, ranks second in the AHL with 16 wins.
The AHL All-Star Classic presented by Toyota will be held Jan. 31 to Feb. 1 at the Onondaga County War Memorial Arena in downtown Syracuse, N.Y.
