One of the great stories in training camp for the Chicago Blackhawks was prospect Jeremy Morin, who was acquired in a summer trade and burst onto the scene with spectacular play in a number of preseason games. He appeared to be on the fast track to Chicago after being one of the last players sent to Rockford.
That fast track may have taken a detour on Friday night.
Morin was hit hard in the IceHogs game against the Abbotsford Heat and reportedly suffered a lower-body injury. Little information is available on Friday night, but Morin needed assistance leaving the ice.
As more information becomes available we’ll update Morin’s status.
