Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp Both Return For Blackhawks

When the Blackhawks begin the second half of their season on Tuesday night in Vancouver, they’ll have a couple familiar faces back on the ice… and one new one.

Both Patrick Sharp and captain Jonathan Toews will return to action against the Canucks. Toews missed just one game, while Sharp was out eight games. Joining them in the lineup will be newly acquired center Brendan Morrison.

  1. Welcome Back Sharpie! Lets go get a big W! Any confirmed word on what the Morrison line will look like?
I would like to see him on the 3rd line with Shaw and Kruger. I think He can be a good veteran presence for those two, but I think has him at 2c between Sharp and Hossa with the third line being Brunette/Bolland/Frolik and fourth line Shaw/Kruger/Mayers.

  2. I heard today on the score, from Steve Dont know his last name. He was a Defender and wore 4 I think. Anyways he said in practice Morrison was skating between Hossa and Sharp on the second line and “looked incredible”.

  3. I’m more curious to see what the 3rd and 4th lines are. I would assume it’s Stalberg/Toews/Kane and Sharp/Morrison/Hossa as our top 2 lines.

    Bickell, Scott and Lepisto scratched?

  4. News on Sharp sounds bad… small broken bone, will play with pain, and needs surgery in off-season???

And they didn’t even call a penalty on the slash!
