Jonathan Toews, Brent Seabrook Reach Career Milestones

Two of Chicago’s veteran leaders hit major career milestones on Saturday night.

With his assist on Richard Panik’s third period goal, Jonathan Toews reached 600 career regular season points in his NHL career.

Toews is the ninth player to produce 600 points in the Indian head, reaching the benchmark in his 694th career game.

Here are the Hawks’ top nine point producers:

1. Stan Mikita – 1,467 (1,394 games)
2. Bobby Hull – 1,153 (1,036 games)
3. Denis Savard – 1,096 (881 games)
4. Steve Larmer – 923 (891 games)
5. Doug Wilson – 779 (938 games)
6. Patrick Kane – 721 (719 games)
7. Dennis Hull – 640 (904 games)
8. Pit Martin – 627 (740 games)
9. Jonathan Toews – 600 (694 games)

When he took his first shift on Saturday night, defenseman Brent Seabrook appeared in his 900th game with the Blackhawks. He is the seventh player to skate in 900 games with the Chicago organization.

Duncan Keith will join the 900 Club with nine more appearances. He tied Larmer for eighth in franchise history with 891 games played on Saturday night.

Following on ER’s apropos comment about two of the core pieces of 3 Cup winning teams, when the day comes that all have become graybeards & retired, I suggest a single, commemorative banner be hung in the UC acknowledging the generational significance of the group. Simply…’THE CORE’ with the sweater numbers of the boys displayed…#’2, 4, 7, 10, 19, 81, 88…all tremendous contributors to three Cups and so many memories.
    Again, these guy’s represent generational excellence if not once in a lifetime achievement. This would be a great way to acknowledge their impact as a group.
    Also hoping that day is still far off…
