On Wednesday morning, the Blackhawks brought eight more kids up from Rockford to join the party for their series against Vancouver including Kyle Beach, Shawn LaLonde, Jack Skille, Jake Dowell, and Brian Connelly.
Beach is arguably the top forward prospect in the organization, and had a monsterous season this year with Spokane in the WHL. The 20-year-old scord 52 goals and had 34 assists in only 68 games. He followed that performance with a strong playoff series for Spokane, scoring seven goals in seven games.
After Spokane’s season ended, Beach was promoted to Rockford for the Ice Hogs playoff series, and he did not disappoint there, either. In only four games at a much more competitive level of hockey, Beach scored three goals. He is considered a contender to win a forward spot with the Hawks next year.
LaLonde and Connelly are two of the Blackhawks top blue line prospects, while Hawks fans have certainly seen Dowell and Skille before this year at the United Center.
