  1. Sorry that it came to an end. It was a great run for him and well deserved.
I’m sure that having to talk about it everyday with the media was taxing and put a lot of pressure on him. It was great that his teammates and coach were rooting for him and helping him when they could.
    Let’s go for another cup.

  2. He didnt have any games with 2 goals. I’m kinda glad the streak came to an end. Anytime he was on the ice it was evident what everyone else on the ice was thinking. More so than usual. They can play hockey again.

  3. 3.8-4 goals per game in the 80s (76-95) so every streak longer then 87 and Kane had different. Was 2.8 in 2010 and 2.65 goals in 2016 per game league wide. That would put 99 51 game streak really at around 33 games in todays league but those players prob would not have as long as they did with tougher competition. Cant really compare, different eras completely.

  4. His legal issues kept him out of bars and away from the booze and totally focused on hockey. Despite his amazing career, I believe his potential was not maximized like this in prior years. I believe his off ice escapades may have cost him scoring titles and mvp hardware in his career. Hopefully those accolades are bestowed upon him and he maximizes his potential this year and in yeard to come.
