R U Kidding me!!?? The Hawks play ALL Original 6 teams this year at home for the first time in forever and NONE of those games are going to get national coverage???? That makes no sense at all…..

  2. sublime33 says:

    1) Detroit was an Original Six member and is scheduled for Jan 8. Plus, there are two Chicago at Detroit games scheduled, so what is the beef?

2)At some point, fans have to get over this Original Six nostalgia. It is now simply trivia. I started watching the Hawks in the mid 60′s during the Original Six era so it isn’t like I am some snot nose kid who doesn’t appreciate tradition. I remember when the Mets and Astros (actually Colt 45′s) were expansion teams and I haven’t heard anyone waxing nostaligic about the Orignal 8 in the National League. The Philadelphia Flyers have just as much right to claim themselves as an old established club as the New York Mets do in baseball.

Get over the original 6 nostalgia?
That is the dumbest thing i’ve heard since. ” We should sign Huet”
