Patrick Sharp Reaches 500 Points

With his assist on Kris Versteeg’s second period goal on Tuesday night, Patrick Sharp becomes the second active Blackhawks player to accumulate 500 points in the Indian head sweater.

Sharp 500

Sharp’s 233 goals while a member of the Blackhawks are ten behind Pit Martin for tenth in the history of the franchise. Among active Blackhawks, only Patrick Kane (556) has eclipsed the 500 point plateau with the organization.

Sharp picked up 15 points in 66 games over parts of three seasons while a member of the Flyers before Philly traded him to Chicago on Dec. 5, 2005 in a deal that sent, most notably, Matt Ellison to Philadelphia.

  1. 500 well and hard earned points as a Blackhawk…congats Patrick Sharp…those points go back to a time when they had him walking the streets of Chicago handing out tickets to get the good folks to come back to the stadium…he has seen a lot including the 2 Cups…good for us all!
