On Wednesday night, Marian Hossa left the ice after three shifts in the second period and did not return. After the game, coach Joel Quenneville indicated that Hossa had suffered an upper-body injury and would be re-evaluated on Thursday morning.
Looking back at the game, Hossa took a hard check from Kings forward Jarret Stoll early in the second period. While down, Stoll gave Hossa an unnecessary cross-check to keep him face-down on the ice.
Thanks to HockeyBroad, here are a couple photos of the hit that may have injured Hossa on Wednesday night.
