Ryan Hartman Fined By NHL

On Wednesday morning the NHL announced that Blackhawks forward Ryan Hartman has been fined $2,320.79, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for slashing Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Brayden McNabb.

Hartman slashed McNabb after he took a run at Nick Schmaltz. Hartman would up taking two minor penalties from the incident.

  1. If your gonna fight. Then fight. No reason for the slash then jumping him from behind. I’m all for defending your guys but it was just a dumb double minor to take.

  2. How the hit to 8 head/up high area in CLB. Wheres the fine to that guy. Oh yea, they didnt call a penalty so they cant fine.

    leave it to the Professionals. Real retro active fines, Real justice. Thye must have had a Real angle that we didnt see.

  3. Seems like they decided to be stricter on calling some penalties but didn’t send out maybe a video demonstrating what could or could not be done.

    Another thing i noticed was one game where Toews kept getting tossed out of the face off circle for some infraction. Did they not specify what reasons you would be tossed? Does each official have a different interpretation of when they should toss some one? I would think if JT knew what he was doing wrong he would be able to adjust.
