2012-13 Rockford IceHogs: Where Did They Come From?

As the NHL and the NHLPA continue leaving fans at home, the AHL season is about to begin. The Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate in Rockford has an impressive roster with a handful of young players with NHL experience.

Now two full seasons removed from the Stanley Cup victory (and subsequent break-up), it’s worth looking at this year’s Rockford roster to see how it’s been impacted by various trades over the last couple years.

That’s a stacked roster. I like the veteran guys they brought in through the AHL, should help with the development even more. Also find it interesting that they brought in Sheldon Brookbanks brother. Going to see them play against the Wolves on Saturday, should be a great game. I can see this team having some great chemistry.
