AHL Announces Realignment

On Tuesday, the AHL announced divisional realignment for the 2015-16 season.


The format for the 2016 Calder Cup Playoffs will be finalized by the Board of Governors at its Annual Meeting in early July, and the complete regular season schedule for the 2015-16 regular season will be announced later this summer. The 2015-16 regular season will begin on Oct. 9.

    I feel sorry for me. AHL is out in Norfolk, VA after 15 years (7 yrs Hawks, 4 yrs Lightning and 4 yrs Ducks) As a Chicago native, when the Blackhawks AHL team came to town it was great. Many many current and past Hawks came through Norfolk. Unbelievably, Kieth played 160+ games here.

    BUT the ECHL is fun to watch and the tickets are about 5 bucks. I think we are getting the Oilers ECHL club.
