The Billion Dollar Blackhawks

Forbes released their annual franchise value rankings for the NHL on Tuesday, and the Blackhawks’ value now ends with a “B” word.


Chicago ranks fourth behind the New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens among NHL franchises. According to Forbes, the Blackhawks value has increased eight percent over last year.

Boston ranked fifth, coming in at $890 million.

    Original 6 still leading the way. Tab would appreciate when world junior rosters set if you gave us a rundown on what Blackhawk prospects are in it and any other prospects to keep an eye on.

    A billion is a lot and a valuable asset to protect-they need to stay relevant and that has been relatively easy (not the best word) for the last several years, but now the hard work begins.
    The lifetime fans will always be there.

    They’ve come a long way in the last ten years.

    They look like about $100 team right now. And things will get worse before they get better. Time for all of us to begin thinking in rebuild mode.

    This makes me very unhappy. We left a cup on the table…at least one.
