Blackhawks Announce Plans To Honor Stan Mikita
On Wednesday the Blackhawks announced the organizations’ plans to celebrate the life of Hall of Famer Stan Mikita during the upcoming season.
The Hawks will host a pregame ceremony before the home opener on Sunday, Oct. 7 when the Toronto Maple Leafs visit the United Center. Chicago will also wear a patch on their home and away sweaters throughout the regular season.

He desverves it, great it’s happening.
Entirely appropriate. Some day there may be other Blackhawks as great as Stan, and they too should be so honored. Until then he stands alone. RIP
Very good.
Great and classy move.
My all time favorite Blackhawk..inspired me to be a great stickhandler, and the best “gentleman” I could be…but NO ONE will match that man’s CLASS..Heaven has a new “superstar” !
