Hawks in 4
Get after it Boys!
Go Blackhawks!!!!
Common sense, and this year indicates this isn’t a 4 game series. It will be nasty and when Keith returns they will go after him big time. It will be fun. Which goalie comes up big? could be the difference.
Hawks have a slight edge, but will need to split the first two.
It was a joke.
Hawks in 3.
Hate the 830 pm local start
830 weeknight games. Woof.
Motte with a G and A in 2nd game!!! nice… Shaw’s replacement next year?
c’mon… Caggiula!!!
Are scouts are pretty good, eh.
The Blues are at a crossroads. Neither Hitchcock or that set of players can afford another round one exit. They don’t win this series, then BIG changes coming in St. Louis. So I think the Blues are going to give this series everything they’ve got in ways that I can’t imagine right now. Might be a physical dirty series on the part of St. Louis.
It comes down to Crawford. He carried this team in 2013 and again in 2015 to Cup glory. He needs to do it again. If he isn’t fully up to the task, then I think we are in trouble and go home no later than round two.
“Might be a physical dirty series on the part of St.Louis.” I had no idea that they can play anything but.
Word is the entire CCM line Michigan had could rep the States at the World’s.
Hawks recall Rundblad. Re-assign Rasmussen and Bickell.
I say we lose game 1 and win the next four…
I read today that 53 is on the third line in practice today. That’s the third line. An AHL player on the third line of the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. A team is the sum of its parts. I simply fail to understand the logic of 53 getting any ice time in the playoffs. Please Mash make your time productive and have the last laugh (I promise to join you and thoroughly laugh at myself).
I think the Blues are a better team this year than last year. The torpedo squad is reduced, although they will bring a tough physical game. Heads up boys. They have better skaters now than what they have had in recent years. I guess we assume Hitch will go with Elliot unless the guy implodes in the first 2 games. Strange that they have rotated keepers all year, but maybe with tag team injuries at that position there has been little choice.
Tarasenko is the guy that can make or break it for the Blues. If the Hawks shut him down the Blues will have some extra pressure to score. It’s going to get down to special teams as usual and whether the Hawks can bring a solid 2 way game from 4 lines. Blues are prone to taking silly penalties. Make em pay.
Blues are under massive pressure to get through 1st round in the playoffs given their high rating on the choke scale. Hawks hopefully steal one of the first 2. Without Duncs tonight, the Blues are likely to bring a big forecheck to pressure our younger d men. Crisp zone exits will open offensive doors for the Hawks. They just have to bury quality chances when they present themselves.
I am more nervous about this opening series than I have been in many years for whatever reason. Probably because losing to the Blues would be the most depressing thing I can imagine given my ingrained dislike for the franchise and style of play they have brought over the years. If the Hawks play good hockey they should prevail as Hawks core is much deeper than St Louis. Should be a great matchup with some serious nail biting, edge of our seat potential.BEAT THE BLUES!
Lets Go Hawks!
