Blackhawks Brian Campbell Declines Potential Trade
UPDATE: CAMPBELL HAS BEEN TRADED TO FLORIDA. News here
In a shocking smokescreen before the first round of the NHL Draft on Friday night, the Chicago Blackhawks reportedly tried to trade defenseman Brian Campbell to a division opponent: the Columbus Blue Jackets. However, when asked to waive his limited no-trade clause, Campbell declined on Thursday night.
Campbell has five more years with a cap number of $7,142,875.
UPDATE: reports from Columbus are that, if he was asked to waive his no-move clause, Campbell did not decline a move to the Jackets.
