6’3” 213 pound right handed shot averaging a point a game as a Sophomore…..tantalizing. The Schmaltz news isn’t good
Here’s hoping Hayden can continue to progress, he’s a guy I have liked for a LONG time.
Was at the NoDak – UW game where Schmaltz injured himself. Read after the game that he sustained the injury in period 1, but continued to play after the injury. Coach Hakstol said that adrenaline must have sustained Schmaltz. I’m sure getting the chance to beat Wisconsin at Madison also contributed.
Schmaltz made a terrific cross ice pass in period 2 (I believe) for a quick one-timer by Caggulia for a goal. Badger goalie had no chance on that play.
what was the Schmaltz injury???
knee, ankle, other?
Schmaltz suffered an “upper body injury”.
