You have to think hes getting 1M+ from the Rangers annually for the like the next decade… you dont have to over pay him, and hes 34, so nothing over 1 year is condusive to long term success through the system.
I mean that would be ideal, but I just think he will command more and wouldn’t take that deal.
Well of course he doesnt take it… but unless its a price like that, i dont think the Hawks would give a contract to him.

Interesting trade… I think OTT would have to eat some Cap too to make it work, but i think it would only happen if the Hawks brass agrees to give TT one more year.

Ya I do not think Richards is a serious option unless he takes a paycut. Just a thought. Why in GODS NAME are we so eager to give Sharp away? I would be very surprised if it happened. A team that always says they values winners, character, and chemistry would not give this guy away. I wouldn’t be willing to do that trade, even though that is a boatload of picks.
If you are so desperate to move that kind of cap space, find a way to get seabs out. We are deeper on the blueline and their hit is similar.

Also, Ottawa would be looking for a winger over a D man. Some people are thinking this offer is just to drive up the price on Ana. Also there is the matter of Sharps NMC.
Oh I wasn’t saying you, just people that are in that camp. I think Sharp is a world class 2 way forward. I want him to be here. He is part of the winning equation. I hope the Hawks pick up a center to compliment Kane. Just not at the cost of one of our core guys. If that isn’t possible, then I guess I hope TT is ready sooner than I think he will be.
