Also, Feb. 12 is the fourth(!) anniversary of the Blackhawks acquiring Kim Johnsson and prospect Nick Leddy from the Minnesota Wild for Cam Barker. Here’s the post from that day.
I have a few observations from the article link. First, wow not many comments on the board back then. Second, Kim Johnnson complete lack of contribuations as a Blackhawk. Third, Cam Barker is already out of the league along with Kim Johnnson.
As I recall, Johnsson played about 2 games for us and looked pretty damn solid (at least that’s what I recall of my opinion at the time)…then suffered a concussion that ended his career. We all kinda figured Leddy had a chance to be special and he’s been the key of the deal.
Yeah what ever happened to Kim?
I know Barker is over in the KHL… he was on one of the better teams, but i dont know how much he actully plays or what not…
Not much from the Hawks today… nothing on the score sheet for any of the swedes and Rosy is a -2 going into the 3rd…
Espo, Johnnson was excellent for us for about 3 weeks to a month, and then he got a concussion and I don’t think he played again…too bad, he looked outstanding for the Hawks…oh, and that Leddy kid didn’t turn out too bad either.
Yea, that’s right he did do good for those few wks until he got hit/however it happened. I remember him scoring a power play goal in one of his first games from that famous ‘montador’ spot. That’s when everyone felt, ok this guy is ok then and didn’t mind the trade.
Who knew that Leddy would turn into a Leads.
