Me thinks- SB should have pulled the trigger on a Crow trade this summer…

Darling + Anders Nilsson (who is proving to be more than decent – in small sample)
would have been fine as a duo +++ the $$$MMMillions banked could have bought a Real LW’er or Kept 27!!!!

Name for us one sane GM in the league that would go with two goalies with half of a season total experience as tandem to start any season… let alone a season after winning a Stanley Cup. It’s so comical that I’m starting to think you’re mocking yourself.

Anders Nilsson, 9-9-2 with .892 save % with Islanders. .921, .899, and .901 save % in 3 years in the AHL. Stanley Cup type # for our starting net minder after a injury or fatigue to Darling. “… more than decent…” Have to respectively disagree. I love Darling, I believe that he may grow into the starting job, but to think he and Nilsson get any team to the playoffs this year is hysterical.

Jax- Re: Nilsson… speaking of this Year (small sample w/ Oil) … numbers are great… Last year- KHL … great numbers… He is just entering his “prime” for most Goalies… How old was Crow when- he “took off”???

This is an update on Blackhawks’ college prospects and not inane fantasy GM hallucinations.

Booman – what are you doing ? Trowing my name around…

Talking about Crawford there was this color commentator on the Avs network who was talking to people in LA when they played the Kings and he said someone told him that Quick (who’s been under the gun to start the season) isn’t an elite GK, he just “padded his resume with 2 Stanley Cups”. hah

Hey Booman, let DumDum throw his own name around, it’s more fun.

    Brokerwayne, you mean “trowing.”

DumDum, that proposed Seth Jones trade set you up for abuse…

Thankfully Wall is silent after Nilsson gave up 6 goals on 17 shots vs. Washington.

Booman – you not realizing that SF trade was a sarcastic way to talk about the scenario people were talking here ‘trade Shaw for a 4 Dman’ opens you up for some abuse also, but you don’t see me calling you slow minded or whatever.

Mud- and Crow gave up how many goals VS. Preds in 1st few games???

    before he was benched!!!

    Yes – Crow… cough,cough, I mean the Hawks won the cup….

And some guy I never heard of before saturday… shut out the Champion Hawks for 3 periods too… AND- a Condom is playing very well (lights out) for Habs… BUT- it is all the Goalie…. not the Undefeated team in front of him!!!

Ya guys still don’t get it!!!

No Wall, we get it. It’s YOU that doesn’t get it. You’ve posted the same schtick for 12+ months, believe me, we get it. You keep saying we don’t get it so you can post the same stuff for the 100th time … or is it the 1000th time?

It’s fine to have an opinion but please get some new material …

^ I will bet a dime to your doughnut we will read it 100 more times before the all-star break. We get the point. We got the point. We didn’t fully disagree with you either but thinking Crawford should have been dealt and have Darling and Nilsson as a goalie tandem means you lost your last marble.

Absolutely any topic or subject can be turned into the “trade Crow show” What do NCAA prospects have to do with the price of tea in China?

Hof- been saying it since the new Contract… so Yes well over 12 months…

probably closer to the 100th time…

And I will get a new “schtick”… when you actually provide some real scouting from the AHL… Remember when you described the Johns Goal last year…. and I called you out as being 100 % wrong on the play-by-play ( Tab – backed me w/ video evidence)… so I can count anything you say as close to what is really happening….

at least my “schtick” is Opinion… while your Details of Fact… are laughable!!!

wall – your loathing of Crawford is old.

Tab deleted several of my posts, for the record. Wall, they were directed at you. And may well be again in the future. Better hope I don’t see you at the Ice Hogs games …

Tab- it’s not loathing against Crow… And- I was obviously wrong… cuz they/Crow won the SC… BUT… the Hawks did have the Highest Cap team in Playoffs (didn’t check – but guessing) money could buy (due to the perfect timing of the Kane injury/recovery)… and I did support my arguments last year with some strong data/3rd party research on the goalies/cups…

Hof- I hope to see you at the Hogs games…

  • October 26, 2015 at 9:13 pm

strong data/3rd party research for wall:

How many active goaltenders have two (2) Jennings Trophies?
How many active goaltenders have two (2) Stanley Cup championships?

    2013 – Game 6 vs Boston: Leddy skates 3:25. Crawford stops 23 of 25.
    2015 – Game 6 vs Tampa: Timonen & TvR combined to play 8:09. Crawford w/ a 21-save shutout.

I get your point that “anyone could play behind a juggernaut.” But this is the salary cap era & the Hawks have had question marks on their blue line in each of the last 2 championships (19 min from Rozsival in ’13). Crawford has been a dependable player who has afforded Quenneville some additional leverage w/ his defensemen because he’s been good when the money’s on the table.

If there was an elite prospect (Fucale, Subban, etc) sitting in Rockford I might have patience w/ the conversation still. But to continue harping on the trade 50 commentary while preferring guys who are still relatively unknown over a full season is ludicrous. Having a strong 1-2 punch in net makes it easier to stomach Rundblad and Daley on a nightly basis.

Coughlin will be sick, I’ve seen him play his whole life. He should’ve went to BU, he would of had better numbers. He’s a big body forward with skill and grit. And he’s a work out beast, off- season he trains at my uncles gym in southie
