He got hurt late in the game Saturday blocking a shot. Nalimov move was expected and sending Fortin back to juniors makes sense. A few more decisions to make.

LOTS of players being placed on waivers that might get claimed.

Interesting waiver list. Marko Dano sent to minors and everybody’s favorite Bolig on waivers.

I see Marko Dano got cut from camp. Also, on waivers, Ondrej Pavelec from the Jets …so I guess thats the end of that era. Parenteau from the Islanders (surprise?), Scuderi, Pulkkinen, and Michalek (another surprise?)….and our old friend Brandon Bollig is on waivers from the Flames.

Been snowing up here pretty steady for a week now so hockey season is rough on schedule.

…right on schedule…not rough, although it is kind of rough with the volume of snow!

Lines this morning per Tracy Myers:

    Panik-Toews-Hossa
    Panarin-Anisimov-Kane
    Motte-Kruger-Hartman
    Hinostroza-Schmaltz-Tootoo

That third line looks nasty if Hartmann can get stuck in and play smarter than his reputation. I still like Ras and don’t mind him as 4C. Once Motte gets comfortable I could see him getting a promotion, but I think bottom 6 is the best place for him to start.
