Cap Hit is only $1.27-$1.37…I don’t remember the exact cap hit this year and next if he stays in Rockford. He will however get his full salary. Good for him! He deserves to be in the NHL, but we have to give the young guys an opportunity. I hope he goes somewhere where he can play.

Tommy – Connolly’s current cap hit is actually $3.5 – if he clears waivers the Hawks can bury $1.125 of his cap hit leaving $2.375 of Connolly’s cap hit on the the NHL books per Cap Friendly

It does make you feel a little bad. He looked pretty good this preseason actually and was one of 2 players (hardman) to actually throw his weight around. But I understand the excitement and opportunity of younger players.

Thanks Wrap! I read it wrong! Damn Dyslexia! I’m just lucky that I didn’t think this was a Chicago Cougars site, I may have written how cool it is to have Whitey Stapleton and Ralh Backstrom on the team!
