Blackhawks Place Ryan Potulny and Jassen Cullimore on Waivers
On Tuesday, in preparation for the beginning of the regular season, the Blackhawks placed veterans Ryan Potulny and Jasson Cullimore on waivers with intention of sending both to Rockford of the AHL.
Potulny was signed as a free agent this summer after scoring 16 goals last year for the Edmonton Oilers. He plays a strong two-way game, but was out-hustled and out-played by Jake Dowell during training camp for the fourth center position. Cullimore is 37 and, given the organization depth Chicago has on the blue line, may be little more than a roster-filler on the IceHogs this year.
