Blackhawks Prospect Camp Preview: Team A

The Blackhawks will host their annual prospect camp starting Sunday, with the next generation of Chicago hopefuls and a mix of some free agents trying to impress coaches and the front office.

Let’s look ahead to the camp with a breakdown of the three rosters for the camp. We’ll begin with Team A, a big roster with players who might be on the radar for a contract in the coming months.

A couple free agents to keep an eye on in this group are defenseman Yannick Rathgeb and forward Daniil Miromanov, both of whom are intriguing prospects with good size.

I don’t even know what the SJHL is, but 1.97 GAA, .935 sv % through 43 games seems like a nice stat line in any league. (Jack Burgart)

6’5″ Jack Burgart was league Goaltender of the year. Won 29 of 43 games with a .935 save %, 1.97 GAA, and 3 shutouts. He’s committed to Bemiji State.

Maybe someone that’s watching the prospect camp can give us an eyewitness evaluation. Given the apparent talent difference between Team C and A, Jack may have a chance to put on a spectacular show.

Bondra is the gem in this group. Several scouts are very high on him and think he has top 6 potential. Definately a name to watch for.

Miromanov looks like he remains draft eligible based on age; can be be signed to a ELC or do they have to let him go through the draft?
