It’s a game…played today. How many are they supposed to play in a single game?

Icehogs sign Sikura’s brother. Can’t hurt right?

watched about 15 minutes o game — in and out

Most noticeable player to me — David Kampf… good skater, quick, agile- stood out-

I Liked Knott – too- always drives hard to the net… long , decent speed

Press- looked good… but made one HORRIBLE turnover- led to break away- so pretty much negated all the good

D-Cat- knows where to move the puck

Thought Luc Snuggerud looked really good. Carl Dahlstrom as well.
Thought Bondra was noticeable in first 2 periods.

Press needs to shoot more. He gets the puck with daylight in front of him and passes. NOrell looks much bigger and stockier than I remember.

Thx guys. How did snuggerud look in his own end. Thats seems to be his big question , lots of offensive talent but where is his defensive game at.

Craig- thanks for that… my 15 minutes of viewing mostly 3rd period– couple minutes in/out of 2nd …

How did Kampf look in first 2 periods??? Good to hear on Bondra (didn’t do much in the shifts I watched)

Thx Wall and Craig for info ….somebody had a look at Fortin ,Raddysh and Highmore.

Kampf hustles up and down the ice. Fortin is fast. Raddysh looked very poised with the puck. He seems to like to reverse the puck his partner in the defensive zone to relieve pressure.

The first two periods were a bit helter shelter not much flow for either team. It was like watching drop in hockey at your local rink. But the third period had much better passing and possession including a long power play.

The next few games should have a little more structure as guys get to know their line mates.

Looking at Blue Jackets – scary good young talent-

Luc DuBois, Bittner, Milano, and Abramov….

Abramov – might be the best one

Dahlstrom looking really really good, granted at this level of play it’s less than the AHL but give him credit. He is the number 1 defenseman on this squad and is playing like it.

Debrincat fully engaged and doing what he has done at every level that he has competed at and that’s score. Beauty yesterday off the half wall and today an absolute snipe.

    Caught last 10 minutes- 3rd period…

Guys- who looked better than the rest

Kampf- forechecks like a Frolik… had a great centering pass- gift to Louis ( Louis had wide open tap-in… either shanked it or Puck bounced on him)

D-Cat… starting to see why he scored so much in CHL… quick/deceptive release… He reminds me of poorer skating St. Louis- just thinks the game faster than most— and lurks in scoring areas… I feel like He might be able to succeed on either top 2 lines with Hawks- right now…

Dahlstrom- now has 2 goals- in 2 games… both scored from below the circles…
Not known for skating or offense… but seems to be getting rewarded for making the right read/at the right time

Raddysh- reminded me of TvR… showed a lot of patience -with limited skills

Pelletier- a lot of jump/quick…. BUT- he looks even smaller than D-Cat!

Kampf/D-cat… can’t wait to see them both versus NHL guys…

Kampf- has been playing center- and could have a legit shot of making the team-IMO

Good analysis Wall. Excellent description of D-cat. He “lurks” in the scoring areas.
His shot release is lightning quick as well.
He’s a scorer pure and simple.

Just caught some video of D-Cat fight from Saturday…

kid has a serious quick right hand… threw some quick, haymakers (usually haymakers are slow)… and good balance too versus much bigger guy…

That’s all good… but I could see that kid breaking his fist on someone’s head/helmet some day… please stop
