I don’t know that Saad is the 2nd coming of anything, but he is definitely finding his game in Rockford at the right time…he is getting a shot at the Hawks training camp, and when he gets sent back, Saad might just settle in as a top player for the rest of this year in Rockford.

I think he will make a good pro, starting next year.

Garrett Ross, imo, will do what Andrew Shaw did last year. In fact, they are very similar players. There is a good you tube video out there of him and Shaw scrapping a couple years ago. Check it out (sorry – not enough time to post link). I think that he will finish the season with the Hogs and, depending on injuries or more of Stan’s non-action plans, perhaps make an appearance with the big club. That is how highly I feel his contributions could impact the team. Time will tell of course….

Saad does have that long powerful stride that Hossa has… and we can only hope that he has half the career of Hoss. That being said-

    I was at practice today…
The 2nd line looked the best Kane-Bolland-Sharp- really dominated a 3-on-3 cycle drill.

I am a HUGE Hossa fan… but he did not look good!!! In fact, he pulled a Post-concussion Monty and fell on his ass w/ no one around while skating… I have never seen him do this before… also mishandled puck several times… very un-Hossa like. I really hope I am completely wrong!!!!

Speaking of Monty- he was absent!!! Which to me means he is probably going to be chopped! (and should be- everyone who reads this site knows my thoughts on Monty-he was damaged goods when Hawks signed him… Never has been right/Pronger-like concussion(s)- should never play again!)

Saad was very good today… he has some serious speed. I think he will play this year!

I guess Stan Bowman is to bring the Cup here every year, or at the very least, every other year?

Thanks for the info Wall…Saad showing a lot of speed is crucial for his game to translate to the NHL level…good news…as for Hossa, he will come around…first, he is NOT the kind of person or player to put himself out there when he is not ready or “safe”, so considering that, he has too much talent and ability to not come around. If he plays, he will be good.

I am not surprised to here that about Sharp, Kane, Bolland…they make a very intriguing line…Bolly is a great defensive player, but he didn’t score a 150 points in junior in 58 games for nothing…he has lots of offensive game…that’s going to be a good line.

    Thanks again my friend!
